The Tzamarot Aylon School in Tel Aviv is part of a complex of all public buildings – kindergartens, elementary schools etc. The school is designed to be built in two stages. The first will include a structure containing 12 classrooms, in an area of 2,800 square meters. The second phase will consists of another structure containing an additional 6 classrooms in the area of 1,200 square meters. The buildings contain classrooms, administration offices, science and technology rooms and green roofs for the use of the children and contribution to their welfare. A green Roof has been designed as a result of the high density of the built environment, the complex and the lack of open space. The green roof contains agricultural crop beds, outdoor classrooms and other informal uses. The green roof will be covered and shaded to allow for climatic comfort throughout the course of the year.
